Little Angels Nursery School

A child who is tense or unhappy will not play or learn properly, so it is important for parents and staff to work together to help all our children feel confident and secure in nursery.

We realise how daunting it can be for young children in their first few days in nursery and we are more than happy for you to stay a little while to settle them in, but we do encourage a ‘gradual stepping back’ response which normally helps the child settle more happily. If you leave and your child will not settle we would contact you and ask for you to return to the setting. (It is however in our experience quite unusual for this to happen.) Comforters and blankets are more than welcome to help them feel more at home. Parents are welcome to stay for as long as you feel it is necessary to help your child settle, and parents should not feel worried if this takes slightly longer than hoped, we do have cameras in all rooms so if you want to oversee how your little one is getting on you can observe from a distance.

When arriving at Little Angels you will be greeted by a member of the management team. Once in the rooms your child’s key worker will record your child’s attendance and support them in settling into the day. Nursery/Home book can be passed over to ensure all information is received and a daily care sheet will be handed over after each session.

Collecting your child from nursery

Please ensure you collect your child promptly, as arriving late can sometimes cause distress. If there is a chance you may be late or a different person is collecting  your child, for safety reasons please inform nursery management and the collector must know the child’s pass word.(Collectors must be over 16 years of age)

For safety of the children dogs are not aloud in the setting unless they are a guide dog on duty. No smoking is aloud in or around the setting, and we respectfully request that no mobile phones are used in the setting.

We ask all visitors to use the car park respectfully remember there are children entering and leaving the building, please drive slowly and carefully.
